Welcome to week 5, our final week already. I have greatly enjoyed the discussions we have had the entire course. So today I am starting with a simple question about vaccinations. But first some facts. We have heard in the news stories about people that do not want to vaccinate their children because of fear of the side-effects. We also hear daily about the progress of a COVID-19 vaccine. So where do we stand on vaccination. The MMWR (2019) “ For the 2019-19 school year “vaccination coverage was 94.9% for the state-required number of doses of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, and acellular pertussis vaccine (DTaP); 94.7% for 2 doses of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR); and 94.8% for the state-required doses of varicella vaccine. “
So quite simply how do you feel about vaccinations? What you make COVID-19 vaccine mandatory for going to work, school, or shopping? Remember you opinions are your own and if we disagree we can respectfully disagree but not criticize our classmates.
